CIS500 – Assignment #1
Overview
Any acceptable subject matter may be used for this presentation. This assignment is intended to provide an opportunity to experiment with the HTML elements covered to date. Let your imagination take over!
Content Requirements
- Two inter-linked HTML documents (each document links to the other).
- Use relative references for these links.
- At least 2 links to other documents on the web (external links) which requires absolute references (complete URLs).
- Include a minimum of 3 images total (all 3 on one page, or 1 and 2).
- Use a minimum of 3 different character-formatting styles.
- Include two different types of lists (UL, OL, or DL). Nested lists are not required, but may be used if desired.
- Include all required META tags as described in the Style Guide.
What to Hand In
Planning documents (storyboards) used to design page layouts. Finished pages on diskette. Printed copy of the HTML documents.
IMPORTANT: Be sure to place your name clearly on all documents and diskettes!
Marking
Marks will be based on the following:
- Content requirements
- Proper use of HTML extensions and adherence to standards detailed in the Style Guide and HTML DTD.
- Storyboards, organized content, HTML pages easy to understand and navigate.
- Overall coding structure and proper use of HTML elements, e.g. proper nesting of tags.
